The Hurrah Players Performing Arts Center & The Perry Family Theatre

For 25 years, The Hurrah Players rented studio space, first in a church basement, then in a warehouse in the Ghent area of Norfolk. In the fall of 2009, Hurrah  purchased their first permanent home – the Old Norfolk Academy building in downtown Norfolk. Built in 1840  this historic building underwent remarkable renovations to accommodate Virginia’s Leading Family Theatre Company, including establishment of  a student resource room, an instructor development center, 2 large rehearsal studios and  a dedicated performance space. Hurrah opened the doors to their new home on January 25, 2010 and  later that same year dedicated the 100 seat performance area as The Perry Family Theatre. Donations to our Capital Fund supports regular, necessary maintenance and modernizations to our building and property.

• 100  Seat Proscenium Theatre, The Perry Family Theatre

• Student Resource Room

• 2 Large Rehearsal Studios

• Instructor Development Center
